CHAdeMO Fast Male Charging Connector for electric vehicle
There are three main contenders:
CHAdeMO used worldwide
CCS (Combined Charging System) – two versions (different in North America and Europe, rest of the world uses one of version depending on the market)
Tesla Superchargers – two versions (different in North America and Europe/rest of the world)
Indeed, the growth of EV sales with different DC fast charging standard is interesting. Clearly the first big player in the industry was the Japanese CHAdeMO standard, supported heavily by Nissan. Mitsubishi also uses CHAdeMO, but their all-electric car sales have weakened over time, and the DC inlet in the Outlander PHEV isn’t as important as it is for pure electric models (such as the i-MiEV). CHAdeMO leads, as below datashows.
SETEC Power is one of CHAdeMo members. We designed and developed two models of DC quick charging connector SET-EVD-C1 which CHAdeMO conformity.
And SET-EVD G2 is designed for China market, which use GB/T standard.
SETEVDC1 connector is to be used directly in the CHAdeMO specification EV fast charger for electric vehicles (EV). Equipped with our proprietary function, the SETEVDC1 ensures a high level of safety required for quick chargers that transmit a considerably higher level of electric energy than general home appliances. This new EV quick charger connector provides not only a high level of safety but also excellent operability, high durability and excellent design.
2. Charging Connector Features:
1. Excellent Operability
Charging is performed by only inserting a plug into a vehicle-side inlet. After charging is completed, push a buttom and withdraw the plug.
2. User-friendly Design
This connector is designed to operate viscerally by having handle shape.
3. Safety Design
The connector has automated triple safety lock system which prevents the disconnection of connector from vehicle-side inlet accidentally during charging.
4. A Wide Range of Operation Temperature
SET-EVD-C1 can be used under a wide range of environmental temperature from -30℃ to 50℃.
